Sirius Electronic Systems Srl is formally established.
When our company was set up in 1987, as a result of the friendship between Marco Trentarossi and Pierluigi Zocchi and their mutual passion for electronics, it immediately established effective partnerships in the sector.
The main partnership is with a company of the Montedison group (MESA), which led to the first installation of a process controller for the production of phenol and styrene in Mantua.
Sirius consolidates its position in a decade of strong growth.
In 1990, we settled in Verbania, at the Tecnoparco del Lago Maggiore, where we opened a design and development office.
During the following years, we developed our expertise in the design of electronics for of marble-granite processing machines.
We also ventured into the design of plastic bag manufacturing machinery and opened a new production department to present the first products under our brand name.
Software and hardware development in the field.
At the turn of the new millennium, we started to develop experience and expertise in numerous industries:
- plastic and textile processing
- food packaging lines
- photovoltaic power plant
At that time, we moved our headquarters to Gravellona Toce and specialised in software and hardware development in the field.
Programmable systems and user-friendly products.
Over the years, we have expanded our product offer with the development of real-time Linux-based operating environments.
Our experience has also enabled us to create programmable systems and related development tools according to IEC 61131-3, integrating motion and CNC functionality.
This enabled us to implement a user-friendly product strategy that allowed the company to increase its customer base.
Embedded electronics and custom solutions.
Since 2006 we have focused on automation. This has allowed us to considerably expand our offer with the production of drives for brushless, stepper, voice-coil and DC motors with high technological content, becoming 'pioneers’ in the field of vector-controlled stepper motors.
These drives, which are still our core business today:
- manage the most common types of field buses, ModBUS, CANopen, EtherCAT and PROFINET
- control the most technological types of feedback, Endat 2.2, Biss-C and Sincos
- include PLC functionality
2007 to date
Vertical integration
Open, reliable and superior systems.
In 2007, we acquired two medium-sized production lines for the assembly of production boards and prototypes, which allowed us to start supervising the entire production process.
This choice has meant that Sirius has become a vertical company, capable of fulfilling customer requirements and delivering finished products, complete with assembly and testing.
In recent years, thousands of automation systems have been created and installed on machines and in plant throughout the world.
Lastly, in 2021 we achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification.
